EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE POSITIONS

PRESIDENT: Runs the PTA meetings, acts as the official representative to the district, represents the PTA at various events, speaks on behalf of the PTA and supports all volunteers. Regular tasks include creating meeting agendas, writing the monthly newsletter article & attending General and Executive Committee meetings. Provides guidance to assigned liaisons/coordinators when needed. VP, WAYS & MEANS: Shall coordinate fundraising events and activities. Will act in the president’s place in the event of absence or resignation. Provides guidance to assigned liaisons/coordinators when needed. VP, MEMBERSHIP: Will act as the coordinator for all activities related to registering and retaining PTA membership. This includes planning and implementing a membership campaign to solicit members. Provides guidance to assigned liaisons/coordinators when needed. VP, VOLUNTEERS: Acts as the coordinator of volunteers for various events and be responsible for recruiting, retaining, matching volunteers with activities and most importantly, recognizing volunteers for their efforts. The VP of Volunteers will also track volunteer hours and submit them for proper recognition. Provides guidance to assigned liaisons/coordinators when needed. SECRETARY: Assists the PTA President throughout the year with tasks that include: taking notes at meetings, presenting meeting minutes for approval, recording attendance at meetings, maintaining the records of all PTA General and Executive Board Meetings, and writing correspondence to maintain public relations. Provides guidance to assigned liaisons/coordinators when needed. TREASURER: Collects and keeps an accurate account of all monies of the board; pays out funds only as authorized by the board; presents financial statement at each meeting; submits books annually for an audit at the close of the fiscal year.
